Top 5 Dishes to Try at La Sierra
First time visiting? Here are the five must try menu items that will make you a regular.

First time at La Sierra? We are so glad you are here. After more than 25 years feeding Forest Grove, Cornelius and Hillsboro, we know which plates turn a first timer into a regular. Here are the five dishes we would put in front of anyone walking through our doors for the first time, and why each one matters.
1. The La Sierra Burrito
This is the one that gets photographed. Carne asada, rice, beans and pico de gallo rolled inside, then topped with burrito sauce, cheese, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, tomato and olives. It is big, it is loaded, and it shows off everything our kitchen does well in one plate. If you only order one thing, order this. See it on our menu.
2. Sizzling Fajitas
The fajitas arrive on cast iron, still singing, with peppers and onions charred at the edges. The secret is the marinade and a screaming hot pan. Pick steak, chicken or shrimp, or go for the La Sierra Fajitas for the classic. Warm tortillas, fresh guacamole and pico de gallo come on the side so you build each bite. It is the most fun plate in the dining room.
3. Camarones A La Diabla
If you love seafood and a little heat, this is your dish. Shrimp simmered in a medium spicy red sauce with sauteed onions and mushrooms. The sauce clings to the shrimp and is perfect sopped up with tortillas. For something richer, the La Sierra Camarones wraps shrimp in crispy bacon and melts Monterey Jack over the top. Both are on the menu.
4. Chile Colorado
This is the plate that shows our sauces are made from scratch. Tender chunks of beef simmered in house made red chile sauce until everything is deep, rich and tender. It is comfort food, Mexican style, and it pairs perfectly with rice and beans. If you want the green version, the Chile Verde uses slow cooked pork in tomatillo sauce.
5. Cielo, Mar Y Tierra
When you cannot decide, this plate decides for you. Grilled chicken, shrimp done al ajo or a la diabla, and carne asada, all cooked with onions and bell peppers and served with lettuce, pico de gallo and guacamole. It is a little of everything and a great way to taste the range of the kitchen in one order.
